We will walk down to the bird hide in the woods at Whitford. Watching over the marsh of Cwm ivy we will look out for winter wetland birds such as little egrets, grey heron, lapwing, curlew and if we are really lucky a hen harrier. Next walk along the medieval sea wall to get to the heart of the salt marsh and learn about the adaptations birds have to feed in this hostile environment. Hear a story based in their dramatic backdrop. If time we will explore the sand dunes and woodland listening for birds and looking for pellets. Suitable for families.
No dogs please as they will scare the birds away.
Book tickets here on Eventbrite, Free funded by The Gower Society.

We run monthly activities for 4-16 year olds around the Gower Lordship. These activities aim to introduce new ways for children to explore and engage with the Gower countryside. All activities are free, funded by The Gower Society, and based at a different location each month. They range from river dipping and butterfly hunts to woodland adventures and pirate days.
