River Study, Journey of a river

A beautiful and challenging four and a half mile walk – I had a class of year 3’s complete it no problem. Following the river from source to the mouth looking at the river’s features caused by erosion and deposition.

For the older year groups it provides a perfect opportunity to use “geographical enquiry skills”, as an in-depth class investigation can easily be built around the day.
Maps and worksheets are provided to aid preparation and discussion.
