Happy New Year!


I hope you all had a good break over the holidays. This time of year Nature Days has less field trips but it is a time to prepare for the new year and plan exciting new projects.


* I am excited to announce that Nature Days has been successful in applying for a National Lottery Community fund award. Through this funding we aim to pilot a project that looks at the impact of progressive outdoor learning, an area I am passionate about. Linking in school teaching to outdoor learning in school grounds, then building on these experiences through field trips and residentials, will be explored with a number of local schools.


* I will also be launching my book, “learning indoors and out in the primary school. An integrated approach. Later this month at a special event in A Swansea school With an opportunity to buy a signed copy, hear about the training program designed alongside the book, and also meet outdoor learning providers who can help you integrate outdoor learning experiences into your school’s offer.


* I will be presenting at various conferences around the country for those who are not local to Swansea so you can purchase a copy of the book and also hear about the frameworks within it. GA conference Bringing geography to life through integrating indoor and outdoor learning.
