Looking at ancient limestone platforms and analysing past sea level changes. Surveying areas at risk from sea level change. Looking at biodiversity changes over time. Measuring lichen with distance from a point source of air pollution. Analysis of the affect of sea level change on coastal communities. Microclimate survey.

A level ecology field days

There are a number of sites available to investigate either a Psammosere, Halosere or Hydrosere. The day will involve looking at the key features of the stages of succession. Measuring the abiotic and edaphic factors.

River Study, Journey of a river

A beautiful and challenging four and a half mile walk – I had a class of year 3’s complete it no problem. Following the river from source to the mouth looking at the river’s features caused by erosion and deposition.
